  • Have to say, I am pretty impressed with this shop. I am normally a fan of the "mom and pop" or single store front bike stores. DNA Cycles has three shops around the valley, which made me hesitant to think about shopping there. Call me a snob, call me an elitist, but that's just been the way I've done things for a long time. Fast forward to last week. Its raining, I want to go ride, but I don't want to trash the inside of my new FJ Cruiser. This meant I needed a bike rack. In case you haven't been rack shopping (sounds like trying out new strip clubs or looking for a plastic surgeon, but I digress) racks are expensive. I didn't want a roof mounted tray rack, I have a bad habit of driving into overhangs, tree branches, or not mounting them properly, having them buck straight up into the air while driving down the road in New Orleans, etc. So I was on the hunt for a Thule T2 rack. Average price: $439 plus tax. Now I don't like paying full price for anything, I couldn't afford all of my hobbies if I did that. I found it online at Performance Bikes, but I truly loathe dealing with Performance. So I started calling around, found a few of them in town, but no one wanted to match the $399 I found at Performance. To me, this was BS, and I wasn't about to stand for it. I remembered DNA Cycles was up in N. Scottsdale, so I thought I'd reach out. Got in touch with Leslie up there, and he took care of me. Matched the price, built the rack, even installed it into the hitch on my truck and taught me how to use it. I praise this guy highly enough. If all customer service was like this in the bike industry, there would be no online bike part shopping. DNA had the deal I wanted, hooked me up with what I needed, got me back to the trails. Couldn't be happier. Thanks guys!
