I have wanted to eat here for years. I figured a place that could survive the reconstruction in the area without selling must be doing something right. That is mostly true.
The good parts of Battistas are good and the bad parts are expected.
First off the decor is totally dated -- and this is a plus! When you walk through the door you are transported to New Jersey circa 1978.
Secondly, this has to be the best order and dine system in Vegas. All entrees come with either soup or salad, side pasta and an after dinner sweetened cappuccino. In addition carafes of house wine are yours to drink for no additional charge. This also makes reading the bill easier. Another win for Battistas.
Third up is the food. This one is not so good. My party tried spaghetti with meat sauce, lasagna and a steak dish. All were edible but ho-hum. I really thought that they would be special due to the longevity of the operation. Oh well.
Overall I *would* eat here again but I wouldn't recommend it. There are better options.
