  • My second, after a long time, visit to Sushi One. My first one was for a birthday party and it was decided based on being hailed as the best AYCE sushi at the time (and we had a great time). Coming back, I've seen they haven't been slacking. Plating, quality of the menu overall has also grown. They've also kept up with the torched/aburi trends, offering their own torched nigiri and oshizushi. I would say they need to go easy on the sauce (that blob of herb sauce, while was enjoyable to me, was scraped off by my friends who stated it was too strong---maybe moderate dots over the nigiri next time!). Service, despite being paper-order-driven was reasonably quick and accurate. As I've grown more accustomed to the higher quality of sushi of a la carte places, Sushi One is one of the few I can say gives their utmost, regardless of whether you dine AYCE or a la carte.
