Let me start off by saying we were pretty excited to try this place, especially since a few of us even had this bookmarked on yelp...
But damn this place is dissappointing.
A bunch of us are in town for Spring Training and tried to hit up Citizen Public House. The place wasn't too packed... more open tables than filled tables.
We showed up at around 10:30 on Saturday night walked up to the hostess and told her we had a party of seven. She confidently told us "Sure, just a few moments", looked us all up and down then walked away into the back.
A couple minutes later, she comes back and says "Sorry, we can't seat 7 people right now."
...... Seriously??? WTF?!?!?!
We asked about all the empty tables and she said we can't sit there.
I'm assuming they didn't want to seat us because we were slightly dressed down (even though attire shows 'casual') or because we weren't a group of the standard middle aged white dudes in button shirts, jeans and dress shoes.
whatever the case is, it came off as a kind of pompous place with a hostess (or manager) who looks down on people.
You guys missed out on a few hundred dollars plus a big tip from us.... not that you care though.
***this review is soley based on service since we never got the chance to eat here***
