  • After learning this is the same company as Sushimon, which was hands down the worst sushi of our lives, we stayed anyway because of so many positive reviews. We learned they were out of uni. Disappointingly, they offered no replacement. No extra order of anything to make up for it. This set us up for a bad time but we decided to stay as they had a nice list on the chalkboard. The freshness of their fish offering was acceptable and better than most other ayce places but lacked personality. I know this isn't Kabuto, but please make it more interesting than fish on inconsistently seasoned warm rice. After several orders of nigiri, we ordered a tuna roll to see how they would approach that. It was stuffed FULL of tuna with sesame seeds on it and the quality of the fish was pretty good. I enjoyed the skip jack nigiri most but that was taken off the chalkboard after only one order. Of everything we had, that was the best but really left me missing the uni as that was the entire reason we wanted sushi. An order of pork belly with a really decadent sauce ended our dinner course. Get that. Dessert helped make up for the uni. I loved the green tea Creme BrulĂ© and also the chocolate mousse which was more like a chocolate ganache. The BIGGEST problem of all was the 20 minute segment of our visit that we were ignored. We were told it had been shift change and our waiter had gone home. He had also not put in our order. Well, that explains things...lol. Wow. Bottom line is this: Not worth waiting in line for but would do if no wait and on a budget. After a return trip and the another and then another, I have learned to appreciate this place much more. I guess everyone is entitled to a bad night. This is definitely my go to AYCE.
