  • Ok so I thought this beautiful place would be top notch dining and entertaining- little did I know I was wrong..... The venue was great the service was comprable to being at McDonalds. In all fairness to the mansion I did buy a voucher from TravelZoo so maybe that was the catch- you get what you pay for! Ha The evening started off well with my date and myself taking some very nice pictures outfront before we dined, having a drink in the bar - the server in the bar was great and we loved the happy hour prices~!! Promptly @715- the terrible TravelZoo part began....we were seated and all was going well until it wasn't. From the stuffy waiter/waitress that rarely checked in on us to the comment "we don't have a regular menu to look at" we were continually amazed by the lack of service we were being served with. At one point we actually witnessed our waiter walk past our table carrying our bread and butter only to drop off another tables bread and butter before coming back to deliver ours. Later we noted this couple WAS NOT using the TravelZoo tragedy. Another annoying thing was that this same couple that was paying full price sat down after us and also got served their food before us! After the bread our table had crumbs on it and not once did our waiter offer to brush them off- something not expected but appreciated in high end dining. So overall I'm not sure if it was the venue or the TravelZoo tragedy but The Wrigley Mansion was not all I expected it to be! :-(
