| - I went into Sandpipers for the first time early this season after searching online for a downtown retailer that carried vitamin A swimwear. At that first visit, I ended up purchasing two full priced vitamin A bikinis. Very sexy, very flattering. The sales individual was polite and attentive, and I ended up loving the two outfits that I purchased after about a half and hour of her undivided attention, and about two dozen tries. Her personalized service was very appreciated. A few months after the purchase, I realized that there was a bit of a flaw in one of the bikini tops. It wasn't a hugely overt flaw, but as somewhat of a perfectionist, it was certainly something that I noticed and was unhappy about, given its gentle use only a couple of times, and given the amount I spent on these two bikinis. ($400 + tax for two bikinis).
A few days after realizing the flaw, I went back to the store to address my concerns, and didn't really know what to expect, given my limited dealings with them at this point. I work in the private health care/customer service industry and can very much appreciate the value in client care for long term retention. I was quite shocked actually at how easy it was to deal with this issue. The same clerk that served me the first time was at the desk, and she politely and calmly absorbed my complaint, took a few minutes to review the issue possibly with management, and provided me with a solution to the issue that was 100% to my satisfaction. I indicated to her that I greatly appreciated their valuing my business and satisfaction, and I will absolutely return for all of my swimwear needs in the future. This is the honest truth. Placing importance on customer satisfaction is a rare finding these days, and for me I will pay top dollar for products and services if I know I will be 100% taken care of should I have a problem. Thank you so much - I greatly look forward to coming back again.
