okay. im just going to be the one to break the ice:
balzac
bal zac
ball zac
ball sack
haha. im sorry but i cant help saying that every time i pass by. cmon its just like homer sexual.
anyhow. yes. the building here is super awesome inside. ill be there would be million people who would line up for a lottery to win this as their living quarters. theres a great staircase that lies along the wall and fron the top of it is a grand view of the floor below; im surprised i didnt take a photo. whats more exciting is the little alcove that houses two tables and overlooks the rest of the space. its like your little opera seat to the opera of gab. actually, theres not much gab here. its energy definitely is not boisterous - mind you, it was winter. anyhow, upstairs a collective of artists that work in the distillery district exhibit their artwork there steadily and some of the stuff was really great and creepy when i went.
i had a double shot cappucino which was very tasty. they also use hom(er sexual) milk and its very creamy. the server seemed like he was sleepwalking though. no matter, he did it all quickly and we went upstairs to some comfortable wicker chairs and had our own little gab session.
what makes this place is not their coffee (which is very good) but their location. its the most interesting and beautiful that ive seen in the city.
