The Hyatt Regency is a beautiful hotel. It is extremely contemporary in the lobby with a sizable bar and interesting fountain. If you look below you, you'll find there's a projector downstairs typically playing something sports related which is a nice addition.
The front desk staff, C and K are so so so nice. C was super nice when we were checking in and clearly had an interest in our well-being. She questioned why the hell we were in Toronto during Christmas (I think we all did) but told her our interest in exploring and hitting up good food spots. She was extremely helpful in giving us some suggestions for local spots. She then graciously gave us two free drinks comp'd by the hotel at their bar.
When we got to our first spot, we found it quite cold because there was a pretty sizable gap between the floor and the bottom of the front door. We told her about the draft when we left for dinner and she was able to whip us up to a different room; a suite which had it's own little mini-bar, living room, and a great view of the CN tower from the 16th floor! Apparently she had convinced K and he also comp'd us for two breakfast buffets!
The rooms are clean and the hot water comes out fast despite how cold it is. The concierge was helpful in giving us dinner sets when we decided to bring dinner into our room and the rooms are always clean and warm now that we don't have a huge gap in our door.
Now I know, this probably won't happen to everyone but we've had nothing but a great experience during stay.
