My friends and I went to Kenzo after after not wanting to brave the wait at Sansotei. It was very quaint and warm - felt a little like home. The service was welcoming and prompt and the food was timely.
We started with the Takoyaki and it was good. I have never had it before and was pleasantly supposed. But because i have never had it before, I can't really tell if it is as good as I think it is - you know, because I have nothing to compare it to.
The actual Raman though was good with really hardy serving sizes. Although, the serving sizes between the dishes did not seem to be consistent, which had my friend a little disgruntled because her bowl seem significantly smaller than ours.
They had such good rich broth. It was on the salty side but i love my food salty so it didn't bother me in the slightest. The pork was a bit on the tough side unlike the pork at Sansotei. The noodles were phenomenal! They were the perfect bounciness to them I was very happy to get such a large portion of noodles (my favourite part of any Raman dish).
I think this is my new spot for Raman to be honest. Sansotei is too busy for my liking and I always feel rushed when I eat there. I like the atmosphere of Kenzo much more. It makes me feel more comforted and Raman is my comfort food - so it just makes sense. I highly recommend this place
