My girlfriend took her car into get a routine service today (oil change and tire rotation). When she spoke with the service advisor, Grant, she informed him that the tire pressure light was on and asked for it to be looked at.
When she picked up the car the light was still on, she asked about it again. She was told that everything was fine, they checked it and everything was okay. After hearing this, I went and checked the tire pressures that had clearly not been adjusted, and found the problem. One of the tires was under inflated by about 9 pounds which is almost a third of the recommended pressure. As soon as I adjusted it, the warning light which had been asked about twice turned off.
The power was out for a while today and they were backed up trying to get through all of the appointments. They were rushing and not doing things to vehicles that they said were done. No one should leave a service call with a warning light on their vehicle that they have requested repaired, especially in AZ in the summer. When concerns were brought up they were brushed off, and the customer left intentionally misinformed. This is negligence on the part of the service department and a dangerous practice. I hope that it is addressed by management. We won't be back here again.
