My brows were thin, patchy and blond... I wanted to try microblading for a while and finally called Gina to make an appointment. Gina explained the process and assured me that I would love the results. She was right!
The process starts with a consultation...my expectations on shape and color. Gina then draws the brows on - measuring to make sure that they are symmetrical and in line with the shape of my face/eyes. Numbing gel is used to reduce pain, but be warned, this is not a pain-free experience. The entire session took about 2 hours (30 mins to allow the numbing gel to take). Gina warned me that me brows would be bigger and darker during the 10 day healing process - they were. But it's also the adjustment of going from no eye brows to thicker, darker brows. She promised that they would settled down. I just had my touch up appointment to fill in where the pigment didn't take as well. Same process as the first appointment...same healing drill. But it's all worth it!
Small criticism of the space... it is in the very big and new nail salon, Cache in South Park (Piedmont Row). The treatment room is very small - I could tell that this was extra space that they converted into two rooms. On my first visit, the lights kept going off...they were motion sensitive and required jumping around for them to come back on. Luckily this did not happen during our session, but it could have. Also, the room was not as clean as I would have expected. Not sure if the blanket covering the bench was changed with every client...did not appear to be. Also, a few times, people entered the room looking for supplies. Distracting and the room is barely big enough for 2 people. Squeezing a 3rd person in required shifting around. I offer this feedback in hopes that the salon will make changes so that the full experience is as fantastic as the actual microblading. One star off for the condition of the room...
