| - Great space, our server was lovely, the other waitress who was working was very nice. It's a very clean, cozy spot for a restaurant with a beautiful brick oven. Unfortunately, my food was so bad that it seemed almost like a joke. Like somebody pouring salt in your coffee. Shockingly bad. I was pleased to see that there was a vegan option, (penne arrabiata), unfortunately, it was one of the worst meals I have ever had at a restaurant. How something can be that spicy, but completely lack flavor is beyond me. I don't understand how this person is employed quite frankly. I would be embarrassed to serve that in my home, much less at a restaurant claiming this to be my profession. It tasted like they spooned tomato paste out of a can, dumped in red pepper flakes, and called it sauce. The sauce was very thick and very red, and grainy. If you cook tomato paste long enough, it eventually loses that tinny flavor. They did not cook it long enough, and they forgot some key ingredients: water, SALT, sugar, herbs, spices, a little olive oil, garlic, maybe a little onion... I hope the chef was out sick and the bus boy had to fill in or something, because what I was served was unacceptable. I'm bummed because I really had high hopes for this place. They have a beautiful patio. I will say that my boyfriends food was very good. He ordered the carbonara. So, maybe they just need to put a little more thought into their arrabiata. Perhaps taste it before sending it out and ask themself if THEY would want to eat it. If the answer is yes, they need to get out of the restaurant business, because they don't know anything about food and don't care.
