  • Do NOT buy appliances at Lowe's! Our washer exploded on 12/16. The drum came loose during a spin cycle and threw itself across the laundry room putting a hole in the wall. It's a whirpool cabrio and apparently it's common. I called for service on 12/17 and they sent out a repairman who wanted to repair it! The sides are blown out and the drum in hanging out of one of the sides. We said we wanted a new unit and the repairman left. 2 weeks later, I called Lowe's customer service and was told we have to allow the company to repair it (parts will take 2 months) and then call them out for service 3 times for the same issue within a 6 month period before they will replace the appliance. I will buy appliances anywhere else.
