  • The staff at this hospital are generally very nice. Heather, the veterinarian, is very patient and kind. The front-desk employees and receptionists were all nice each time i visited. Unfortunately there are far too many hangups with each of the visits I've made to this facility to recommend anyone go here. There are far too many alternatives. Firstly, the office and patient rooms come across as unsanitary. I would feel uncomfortable with my pet receiving surgery here. The waiting room is very small so if you have a skittish cat, you will suffer for a good one-to-two hours sitting next to other people and their cats, hissing and stressing them. These things, I can deal with, especially if the staff are wonderful. I understand you can't change the size of the building, but you can control other things, like the level of organization, and the quality of service. At this office, animals are seen one-by-one basis, yet even so, the appointments are ill-planned and are never on time with an average 1-2 hour wait time. On that topic, the organization with the office is truly embarrassing. The staff actually lost my pet's paperwork when they went to make photocopies then tried to convince me I never brought in the documents at all, until the doctor finally stepped in and found them after an hour of the entire staff searching for them. The person who lost them never did offer an apology, but the vet did and I do appreciate that. However, even the care itself is just... not great either. In fact it's pretty terrible. I honestly felt like I was only there to give them money as each time the doctor saw my pet, she did very little to ease the situation or symptoms and charged me for services that were not necessary. In one occasion, she performed services without asking me what I would like to do with my own pet, offering me options, or even quoting me on the services beforehand. During the visit of the lost paperwork, the doctor must have been eager to go home, because she did not have time to review the medical history documents after how long it took to find them (it led into after-hours), which led her to instead offer treatment options over the phone days later, which resulted in them trying to charge me a second office visit for the same thing I came in initially. Additionally, in each occasion, she seemed stumped on how to treat my pet at all, until I offered suggestions on things that I researched, in which case she appeared to "remember" that my suggestion was also an option and changed the entire treatment plan. I don't feel like I should have to remind a vet how to treat their patient. Which apparently in the case of this office you certainly should, after I learned that her recommended a diet of human baby food as a remedy for nausea, which does not have the nutrients a cat needs to survive, is very dangerous and also causes them diarrhea. Don't need to wonder too much how I figured that one out. But this was just one of our 5 or so visits to this office, and I don't care to relive each of them. Perhaps at least one person can save the $500 I spent on shoddy treatment at this place at a much better office.I have some trouble believing the high ratings of this place being legitimate after the experiences I had.
