| - Finally got to try this place out for lunch last week. We are always searching for a cheap, good burger place. Also it was hot so ice cream was a must!
The place is small and a diner like atmosphere. The parking lot is small, but we didn't have an issue finding a spot at 11:30 on a Thursday. The employees were super nice and welcoming and were ready to help us decide what we wanted.
The menu ranged from milkshakes, soft serve ice cream, burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, onion rings, fries, and bacon cheese fries! From what I saw, they don't offer any combos. So the main thing (burger) and sides are separate. So even though the prices are reasonable it adds up quickly, esp if you want a drink. I ordered a single patty burger and French fries with a cup of water for about $6.70, then got a small soft serve cone for $2.39 (without tax). My co-worker got a single patty burger with cheese fries (an insane amount of cheese in there!!) and a drink that was a little over $11. People have said this is a super cheap option, but I think after you get a side it ranges into a slightly more expensive place. Compared to other south end places it is on the "cheaper" side.
I got a burger on an onion bun, which was tasty but the bread was a tad thin and made it a tad difficult to eat the burger. The fries are simple but very tasty!! I got grilled onions on my burger which were super juicy. The flavor was ok, but I bet they'd be better as the onion ring. Finally, you can never mess up soft serve ice cream. Delicious!
Overall, definitely a place to check out. Some days you need good "bad (unhealthy)" food. And if you want to make it worth it, this place is great! I will definitely be back and try the bacon cheese fries and onion rings!!
