  • Is there an option for 10 stars? We found The Hill Group on Yelp over a year ago. I had been looking at some "generic" realtor sites and was led to some poor reviews on another realtor group and thought - so who is getting the best reviews? And, Yelp didn't steer us wrong. I signed up for The Hill Group portal on the Friday before Labor Day and when I got home from work - I already had a message from Steven James. We corresponded over Labor Day weekend - really does this guy ever rest? As we found out almost a year later - he doesn't! If he isn't emailing, he's texting and if he isn't texting - he's calling. All while impeccably dressed in a suit and tie - in 118 degree heat no less! He stayed in touch over the next 10-11 months and when we were finally ready to bite the bullet and go house hunting - Steven and the rest of The Hill Group had our backs. We showed up in town for five days with the intent to buy. Not being familiar with the area - I had a list of "potentials". Steven pretty much knew all the possible downsides - the first few times we "overrode" him and went and looked anyway. And, yes - we wasted our (and his) time because he was right! After the first day, he really understood our family dynamic and what was important - funny to see him charge through the house looking for the perfect "cat room". It was our first house and we did have some challenges along the way. Steven plowed through them. We ended up falling out of our first contract and then found our dream home late on our last day there. Steven then made arrangements for us to take some friends for a second viewing early the next morning before we left. We ended up negotiating everything from that point on from out-of-state. And, since the seller was out-of-state too - there was a lot on the plate of The Hill Group. Steven and Beth Eastman handled almost everything to the last day. We signed our paperwork (remotely) on the day of the biggest rain since 1939 and Kirsten and Doug Hill ran over to our house to make sure our basement home (on a lake) was still intact!! And, Steven was there to greet us with our keys when we took possession last week. The Hill Group was great to work with every step of the way. They are a fabulous team. We would use them again - except we never want to leave our new home!!! Regards, Frances
