  • I recently tried the new Bobby Q and I wanted to try the original. The outside is run down and off a side road, so get your GPS out if you are not from the area. The hostesses were a bit chatty with each other and I decided to not wait for them to finish their conversation and went to the bar area to get food. The bartender was a splendid and excellent waiter/host for us. Great service all the way around. They start with decent cornbread and then you have an extensive menu to choose something. I do not know why people say this is a $$ place as it is $$$ to $$$$ depending what you order at a minimum overall. This place is not cheap, however, it is worth giving it a whirl. The salads were made exactly how we wanted them. THe chicken was really moist for being a a breast. The red potatoes are very good and the roasted corn have fantastic flavor. To end dinner they give you some small beignets to eat. So tasty and nice way to end the meal. The newer facility near the mall in PHX is MUCH nicer inside, however the food is consistant with quality and flavor. Great place to go, however bring your wallett :)
