Had a challenging experience with this builder but the pool did get completed and it looks good.
Their designer Dan sold us on the idea that while we would admittedly pay more for Artistic, we would get the best designed pool, and it would be done quicker than with any other company in town because they only use specific subcontractors for each step and have great relationships. In the end we learned an important lesson that all pool companies use the same subcontractors and have no ability to control their schedules, especially when building pace picks up.
Our primary frustration with Dan was that he refused to take any accountability for the delays, blaming the "girls in the office" for not communicating to him, or the subcontractors for not telling him how busy they are, but it was never as simple as him taking ownership for the promises he made to us, or even being able to give us an actual schedule beyond whatever the very next subcontractor was.
Our experience with the company's owner was also distressing - on two separate occasions he became so emotional during conversations we were having about a miscommunication on a tile upcharge (which again was caused by Dan making promises on behalf of the company that he was apparently not authorized to make and then trying to back away from them), that he threatened to abandon the job and leave the pool unfinished.
After having to get the Nevada State Contractors Board involved, cooler heads eventually prevailed and the pool was completed. The final product does look really good and the family is very much enjoying it. I know both we and the company wish the process had been less stressful. My understanding is the owner has retired from the business and passed it on to his son.
