rev:text	My recent car rental in Las Vegas, specifically at Dollar RAC McCarran Rent A Center was not pretty. The rental agent was relentless about me buying the insurance. I had advised him that I had supplemental insurance coverage (car rental) on my personal auto policy, and that I had discussions with my agent about the coverage. I did not want to buy the insurance. First NO. I was carrying my insurance card to prove I had the supplemental insurance coverage. And while I was explaining this to the agent, he had printed out a contract, and told me to sign it. I had recently read stories about the ''sign here'' scam, so I read the document he put on the counter, and told me to sign. I said to him, you are charging me for the insurance. He said, well you taking insurance aren't you? I told him, I said no, I had enough coverage on my personal auto policy. Second NO. Then he started to bad mouth my insurance carrier, how they won't help me, how they would abandon me, how they would not replace the car, how they would not pick me up, ''I will be on my own.'' Again I said no. Third NO. The rental agent insisted I had to take the insurance coverage, that I could take the cheapest at $22 a day. Peace of mind crap, etc. I gave in realizing he was not going to let me rent the car without insurance. I am going back to Budget or Enterprise where their rental agents know NO means NO, don't use the sign here scam, and don't force sell. AND PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU SIGN.
