The saddest hotel I have ever stayed at in a first world country. Tiny rooms with decades-old, dirty, stained furniture and gross carpet. Musty smells throughout. Apathetic service.
Though advertised as an "airport hotel", it is a 20 minute/$30 cab ride away from YYC due to permanent closures on Barlow Trail. The wait time for shuttle pickup was 40 min.
Shuttles returning to the airport leave every hour on the hour and take 20-30 minutes.
Price was $140 after tax. Barely cheaper than the actual airport hotel, which is 10 times nicer and more convenient, but books up quickly.
There are many hotels nearby on Barlow Trail. They all compete within $30 or so. Spend the extra money to stay somewhere respectable. Airport Travelodge is not worth it, even just for a place to crash for a few hours between flights.
Pros: Free wifi
Cons: Everything else
