  • Just left from our third visit and the most disappointing of all three (though the other two weren't anything to write home about). Each time we've been, it is a minimum of a 30 minute wait to order and get your ice cream. This time took 35 from start to finish for 2 simple ice creams. Each "mix in" is $1.00 - the first time we went, they forgot my son's $1 caramel. When asked if it was in there they apologize and squirted 3 lines of caramel on the top of his kid ice cream - it was a pathetic amount (and while my 7 year old doesn't need the extra sugar, for $1.00 I would have thought it would be enough to last more than two small bites). This past time, I asked if they could split it up with having some inside and some on the top (so my son didn't think they forgot it again) - They charged be $2.00 for this but didn't tell me until I looked down and realized I was charged $16 for 2 small ice creams and realized what had happened. I asked the cashier and he said, "no, it's only $1.00" only to have the manager yell at him telling him it's double, ignoring me and not explaining anything further to his employee who stood on looking extremely confused. The manager was yelling at his employees saying "stop talking and scoop the cream" - again, that may speed up the wait, but it was a very belittling and rude. He didn't acknowledge my complaint and I was pushed through the line (not even asked if I wanted to choose one or the other - mixed in or on top). Considering we have 9 ice cream places within walking distance of our home, they should step up their game. Oh, and the 2nd time we wanted to go, they don't open until 12, which I also think is a little dumb in this area for business, since kids eat early lunches in the summer and at 11:50 we were told we would have to wait. Open earlier... They definitely treat you like a chain, not a local neighborhood restaurant, meaning, they could care less if you come back or not. That is very clear on every experience my family and I have had with them so far. Go to Churn, Sweet Republic, Dairy Queen, Shake Shack, Mary Coiles, Twirl, Frost or any of the many other places with solid customer service and a value on their product!
