After reading several reviews for breakfast places in the area, I decided to give La Boheme a try. I really wanted some eggs and a traditional breakfast, however this is not the place for that. They have a selection of quiches and pastries and specialty coffees, however I don't get the impressions the pastries are baked at that location.
I had the Quiche Larraine which was OK and the apple tart which didn't taste very fresh. I didn't experience poor service as the young girl that served me was very pleasant, however it did take a while to get a latte and the quiche warmed up. While I was there many people walked in with a specific takeout purchase they had in mind. I'm not sure what those items could have been.
Perhaps the overall experience is better in the summer on the patio that many reviewers mentioned. The seating inside is also a little strange and not that warm and inviting. I would also expect a place like this to have the sweet smell of baking in the air, but that was not the case. Hence the reason why I think they import the goods they sell.
Yes it's nice having an independent in the area filled with Starbucks, but unfortunately in this case, I think they have a long way to go to get up to Starbucks quality and cleanliness standards.
