  • Once again, I am shocked at how people love someplace (at least in my opinion). I will admit that the reason I chose Dish for our anniversary is because so many people rave about it and we wanted to go somewhere different than our norms for our special day. That being said, I wish that I could go back and change my choice to do so. I want to add, the service was good. Nothing amazing or spectacular, but she was knowledgeable, nice and did make a good wine rec. She gets points there. Other than that and one good app (the egglplant thingy), the experience quickly went downhill. My steak, ordered medium, was actually still alive and very chewy. However, I tried to deal with it as I am not "that person". The Brussel Sprouts were the high point of my meal. No one actually ever asked how the steak was (I always thought these types of establishments were supposed to check and make sure things were cooked appropriately... not like I would have sent it back though). In terms of dessert... did not even want to try it as I was already disappointed. Off to Pipers Pub we went for that! All in all, if I am going to spend $120 on something I could have done better at home, I do not think it warrants a good review (and that was not including the tip even).
