| - My wife and I attended the show with two other couples thinking it would be great, the reviews were impressive. We were all very excited to see the show and unfortunatley we were all disappointed with the outcome. Here are my thoughts:
1- the Rio is a horrible hotel and venue. The place has a distinct odor and hasn't been updated probably for 20 years.
2- the show was boring. It was so boring that a couple of my friends slept for a good part of it. It was one of the most un-entertaining events I have ever witnessed. The "magic tricks" weren't impressive, the jokes weren't funny and the skits weren't amusing.
3- Some morons thought it would be a good idea to bring their 2 children with them, who's ages were probably 5 and 7, and sit them right behind us. The excessive clapping when no jokes or magic tricks were being performed became annoying.
4- the show was short. We were there for 2 hours, however, a good hour and 20 mins was spent waiting for them to come on stage and listening to the piano player.
In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone. Save your money and go watch another show, any show besides this one. You will be disappointed if you watch this show, I promise. I can't put in to words how disappointed I was with this show and the hype around it. I honestly question the intelligence of the individuals who gave this show a good review. Either they were hammered, which I could understand the good review, because thats the only was anyone could watch this atrosity of a performance. But, if they were sober and still gave a good review, I would encourage them to go seek medical attention for their lack of a properly functioning brain.
