| - "Dude, you know what'd look siiicckk with that set of strings? A brand new 2016 tri-burst Les Paul Custom!"
That's the attitude of this store. Always out to make a buck, even if it loses the store a lifelong customer. I'm from the middle of nowhere in the southern Ohio, the land of every cashier in town knowing your name, where you can still roll into a diner and say, "the usual."
Homie don't play that corporate garbage.
Their selection is fine, but it's the attitude the store has that irks me. I was once literally made fun of by half the staff for trying to sell them a used guitar pedal since I didn't know one had to be 18+ to do so. Another time while shopping for a bass head, a longtime employee plugged me into a particular one, hit the power button, and a wave of sparks and smoke flooded out from the thing. (I promise, I am not making this up.)
Employees get sketchy if you want to play their nicer instruments, the amount they pay for used gear is just sad, and the employees will go in with zero knowledge of the product at hand if they think you're gullible enough to sell to. It's an insult to every customer.
Sam Ash is right down the street. Your chariot awaits.
