| - Who isn't excited about going to see one of your favorite artists perform? This was our second visit to this venue-- once last summer and now this July. First I will say it's hot. No denying -- HOT. Yes, they have fans and misters, but it is over 100* before the sun totally descends. And it doesn't cool much more after that. Next, as usual, you get way overcharged for drinks. BUT $8.00 for a liter of water is a bit much. We weren't sure if you could bring any waters in. I'll spare you some $$$ you can as long as bottles are sealed & in a bag. But finally, my sweetie bought us front row seats. The security guards all congregated right in front of us all throughout the four hours we were there. They blocked our view and talked and kept walking about. I appreciate their job, but can they stand to the sides or on the steps (as some did? )Yes people do come forward to dance later, but it was very distracting on top of the fact we paid more for the seats to see their rear ends all night. To top it all off, the speakers were so loud we couldn't hear each other talk or even the lyrics to the tunes. We discovered later, that if you back up a bit, it's actually cooler and the acoustics are better. I believe the guards aren't in the mid section either. So did we like it? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes. But for me, a woman in her upper 50's (who is in pretty good shape) I just got too bloody hot. If I come back, it won't be until late September and I will most definitely pack some waters and a hand towel to boot.
