| - The goods- VERY friendly staff. Ample parking. Reasonable rates. Great shower water pressure. Some breakfast available. Heated pool!
The "eh, it's okay..."- breakfast options are stale cereal, waffles that are a long wait to get, bagels/toast/muffins, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, oranges and apples. Very minimal selection and would've really liked something hot and another protein option or two. I'd have expected this from a "continental" breakfast but the motel site lists "breakfast" so it was underwhelming. Next time I'll pay a little more for a Holiday Inn and get hot eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, and whatnot. Especially when traveling with two teen boys.
The less than good - REALLY low shower heads. I'm only 5'5" and had to duck in the shower. Mildew near the top of the wall/ceiling in the shower. VERY small bathroom - had to enter and close the door just to use the toilet. Booked the room for two adults and two children - our room had two sets of towels, one itty bitty bar of soap and one travel sized bottle of shampoo. No extra blankets or pillows in the room. No refrigerator or amenities in the room (I didn't think any hotel/motel above a Motel 6 neglected to provide these). Ice machines inconveniently located. Plugs/outlets and lights randomly quit working.
