Honestly, I was a little disappointed in this zoo. The goods first.
Lots of paths, lots of water fountains, and lots of shade. The animal exhibits are nicely spaced out and we went during spring break so there were no lines. The petting zoo was fun, too. We could see whatever we wanted to. So that was nice. As mentioned in other reviews the African Safari exhibit was pretty rad. The giraffes were up close and so beautiful.
The negatives...we were here on a Tuesday afternoon, from 3:30-6 and a majority of all the food vendors were closed down. We walked past FOUR little drink/snack shacks and they were all closed! What the heck? My little dudes were so thirsty by the time we had to walk all the way back to the middle area to get them a drink. Why are they all closed? Even the beer stand was closed! Boo!
I really think if you are going to boast open "being open late" for Spring Break - you need to have some food options available!
Anyways - I heard about a place called "Out of Africa" so next time I think we will skip the zoo and go there!
