I've been driving past this spot for the last 4 years, and have never seen an empty barbers chair. A few months back, I finally decided to drop in and give Mike (the main barber) a try. One cut and I was sold!
I've had almost every hair style known to man (from dreads and cornrows to fades with designs). Yet out of all the place I've been, Mike was the first to ask me about my hairs history before even picking up a scissor! It's his attention to planning that makes the experience so enjoyable.
His chair is one of the most comfiest in the city, and the nostalgic vibe of the shop adds to the cut. His mid century cash register only opens for bills, so come prepared if you only purchase with cards. He has a strict appointment policy, so it's best advised to call the morning of to reserve a spot in the afternoon/evening - though it's not the most efficient system out there, it works for him and works just fine for me... in the rare event that he has an open slot during the day, he always goes the distance for fitting an appointment in!
I'm about 4 haircuts in, and couldn't be happier!
