| - My husband & I are platinum members. In the month of June 2017, we attended drop in Deep Water classes on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Since we started classes in mid June, We opted to pay for drop in classes because we calculated that it made more sense for us to pay drop in vs the monthly amount.
We usually arrive between 20-30 minutes before class to pay and get settled by the pool until the class starts. Each time we check in and pay the young man would make us pay for my husband & my fees separately. Initially he ran into a problem because we were using my husband's credit card for both fees, the system gave him a message that he had to wait 5 minutes because of a possible duplicate charge. Anyway, eventually he figured out that if he did a force charge, the payment would go through.
We also attended the Total Body Workout once a week at Heritage Park paying drop in fees and never had any problems there because they just added me on the same class. I mentioned that to the young man and he said "oh that's what my supervisor told me to do to charge it separately."
Anyway, we decided to go to Heritage Park, although we live closer to HMC, for the month of July and paid for the monthly fee for my husband & myself. On the last Deep Water class day (6/30), the young man told us that his supervisor said that he needed to tell everyone that they could not check in earlier than 15 minutes before the class because they didn't want people who haven't paid to use the pool and only for the class. I told him what difference does it make if we are members and have pool access anyway. I told him he should check first if the person checking in has a membership and if not then he could use his discretion to advise the person accordingly. Anyway, I left not very happy because of how it was handled.
On a side note, we have always accessed the center through the main entrance. I have a handicap and struggle to climb up the stairs from the poolside. I inquired about an elevator and was told there wasn't one. Initially I didn't know that there was an entrance in the lower parking lot and in mid June the downstairs bathroom was closed & under maintenance so we opted to park on the upper lot. My question is why isn't there an elevator?
