| - A great alternative to Las Vegas, with the same luxury, food, and games - but without the drama Las Vegas brings. Ideal for couples looking to spend some quality time together, have some fine dining, enjoy beautiful scenery, and make a baby (well, you get my point - it's that nice).
Visited here on a short business trip / convention at the resort. I didn't know what to expect coming here, but I was really impressed by just about every aspect of the resort. It has something for everyone - and is worth making this resort a viable alternative to Vegas resorts if you're cool with lower key gambling and staying in one place. Simply a great time.
Pros:
- Free valet parking (make sure you tip) and ample self parking.
- About a 20 minute drive from the airport.
- Incredible views of the desert mountains or downtown from the rooms.
- A giant pool to relax with your loved one.
- Full casino with table games and slot machines. It's not gigantic, but large enough to appease most gamblers, whether it be penny slots, blackjack, poker, or more.
- A number of restaurants with a variety of dining options throughout.
- Luxurious, clean, and modern rooms - similar to the Aria Resort in Las Vegas
- Quiet and privacy in the rooms; giant shower and bathroom (note, the toilet has better than average flushing power - for those of us who care).
- Friendly staff who treated an average Joe like me as a VIP.
- Not sure if it is smoke free, but I didn't smell smoke in the casino a single time.
Cons:
- The gift shop was kind of weak. If you wanted a quick snack or something lite, you had few options. Suggest stopping at a 7-11 before you get here for water, chips, etc.
- I wish I were smart enough to walk away when I was up in the casino! But that's how it goes...
I could not be happier with my visit. Recommended for those with pickier tastes who tend to find fault in everything. Trust me, you'll be happy here.
