| - I want to like this location (Windmill). When they opened, I was a regular (one mile from the house); and then the prices went up, the service dropped and it was always crowded. (A good thing for them)
However, the last two times I have returned have been dismal. On my most recent visit, I felt that the objective wasn't on service but on ignoring the empty glasses on the table, the waves by the wife of my friend. (I was hosting another couple) And my table didn't want to order water, we wanted to order (Profitable) beverages.
I finally rose from the table, found our waiter and asked, Has the policy changed? You don't serve second drinks to customers? His response, "Absolutely" Which didn't make a lot of sense, but by that time, we were, in a word, done and not only had we been waiting for second drinks, but we were trying to get someone's attention to pay the bill. Is it me, or should our waiter want to be paid? Our entire party was dismayed by the service, or lack of.
Okay, the service was ... in a word..a failure, so move onto the food. Not to the caliber of the early days, when Bachi seemed excited to deliver a new and exciting product. The foods seems to have been value engineered to the degree that they are counting on tourists to support the revenue goals, i.e. Eat and never come back.
My friend summed it up in one question, "Why did you want us to come here?
