  • I've never worn any false eyelashes in my life. Not those sticky ones that you add onto your lashes and remove at the end of the day, not extensions, not anything. However lately I've been debating with myself whether or not this is something I want to try. I found myself torn between wanting to stay the natural route, but also wanting to have beautiful, longer lashes. I wondered if it was worth it, would it look realistic, could I sit still for two hours??? And the questions went on, and on, and on. January 9th was my birthday, and I figured I will try it out and spend the money for it. If I didn't like it, I would remove it myself and never do it again. So I scheduled the appointment via the link on Nicole's Instagram page @eyelashjunkie. The website was clean and easy to navigate, and booking the appointment was incredibly fast. Upon arrival, I was a little confused with where the location was, as the directions kept telling me that I had arrived, but I didn't realize that the location was inside a salon with many other rooms inside. I noticed hers right away because of the gothic skull logo on her window. As I walked in, it smelled great, I think she had a diffuser running, as well as soft music playing. Her space seems small, but there's just enough space for you, herself, and maybe another person on a small couch to the side. Nicole was able to answer all of my questions, especially putting me at ease since this was my first time and I'm not big on makeup either. I chose to have the more natural lashes. The process was 2 hours long, and I fell asleep during the entire time. I woke up, and suddenly I had these lashes on! When I went home, I read a book and relaxed for a bit, and found three lashes fell! I was so worried and texted Nicole who answered my questions and put me at ease. I have to admit, it did feel and look unnatural to me. They were a little longer than I anticipated, and Nicole said on my next fill, we can go shorter. Everyone I know loves my lashes says it looks completely natural. I do feel a bit insecure with it because they were longer than I anticipated and I constantly stared at my eyes wondering if they were too long. All of my friends agree that it looks so natural and looks like I just put mascara on. *YAY!* It has been almost two weeks since I've had these lashes in and my left eye shed more than the right. With the lashes shedding, they did start to look more natural (or maybe I was just getting used to it). I've booked my next fill so hopefully we can go shorter! At the end of my appointment, she also gave me a cleanser and instructed me how to use it. If there is one thing I might request, it's that she do a visual on how to clean the eyelashes and what to expect and things like that. For someone like myself, who had no expectations whatsoever, I had no idea what things were supposed to look like. If you've got the extra money and this is something you can afford, I highly recommend going through Nicole. She answers all your questions via text and is super helpful. Is this something that I can afford every week, every two weeks, or every month? Certainly not. However, I want to try doing this for a little bit & see what I think. I'm also interested in potentially trying the lash lift and see how that works; who knows, maybe I'll continue that instead! For first timers, things to consider!: **Pros:** - They're so pretty!!! - You can take a nap! With what I do for work, a nap was definitely needed! - You can choose the lashes you want, and if you're like me and opting for more a natural look, you can let Nicole know and she'll work with it to the best of her ability. - Because of the lashes, I no longer need to wear eyeliner as I feel that my eyes look pretty enough without them. Yay! -The daily maintanence is easy! ***Cons:** - Lashes can fall into your eye. It hurts like a b*tch and can sometimes be hard to get out - A bit on the pricey side (however Nicole is worth it for all the work she puts into your eyes. She's literally place lash by lash by lash onto your real ones) - You have to really take care of them and keep them clean. It's kind of a lot of maintenance. - No oily makeup remover or oil based make up on your eyes! It'll remove the lashes. - If you use liquid eyeliner on the top of your eyes/eyelid area, it's very hard to put eyeliner on because of the lashes touching your eyelids. - When you shower or swim, you'll have to pat your eyes dry instead of rubbing the water out of your eyes like you typically would. This has resulted in me blindly searching for shampoo and conditioner since I can't open my eyes. (The water stings lol) - Be careful to not pull the lashes off or scratch your eyes! Avoiding it can be hard because like me, I get itchy eyes often because of allergies. The lashes are glued to your real ones and can remove the real ones too. Okay. I hope this review has been helpful!
