| - A long long time ago, in a land far away, there was an innocent small town cowgirl who had never had sushi...that girl was me. Luckily, someone close to me was a bit more worldly in that department and so one fine day after smoking a lot of "tobacco" a hunger came over me like none I had ever experienced, so I agreed to try sushi.
That first experience was at Sushi Mon and my life has never been the same.
I think it's rather cute/funny/entertaining that they make you read the "rules" of all-you-can-eat before hand. Some of the rules include "your hour begins when you get your first dish," "if you leave rice on your plate you will be charged the individual amount of that particular item on top of the AYCE charge" etc., etc...
I see many people complaining about wait times here. I have experienced that as well and yes, that is a pain but, that is also a good sign for any restaurant, in my opinion.
Now that I'm a bit more experienced in the sushi department, I can honestly say that I have yet to see a sushi roll selection that rivals that of Sushi Mon. Who knew that such a great sushi establishment could exist in the middle of the desert!
Thank you, Sushi Mon, for making my first sushi eating experience a good one!!
