  • Was lucky enough to hear about the friends and family soft opening at the new Plaza Midwood location of Roasting Company. I've been a loyal patron and huge fan of the Montford location for years, so I've been anxiously awaiting this location's opening since it's been announced. The interior buildout of this space is impressive. The centerpiece and spotlight is the huge bar that is set up front and center with plenty of space for people to pop in and grab a bite, or hang out for a few casual drinks. Seriously one of the most impressive bar spaces in Plaza. There is a room directly in the front of the restaurant that has roll up garage doors and will be a perfect place to eat lunch on a warm Charlotte day. The food tasted 100% consistent to the deliciousness we all know and love. The kitchen was absolutely on top of it, and our food came out quick and hot. I can't begin to express how excited I am for this location's opening, and will be here more often than I'm willing to admit on a public forum.
