Before coming to The Weave Scene I had only had my hair sewn in once before. It lasted two months and always felt beautiful until it finished growing out.
After my experiences here, I doubt I ever will again.
My first visit I brought my own hair. The hair was human hair, but was sewn in such a way that it didn't fall naturally. After a work accident burned off a chunk of my sewn in hair, I came back to have it removed. I did not want new weave, but was convinced to try again with their hair. I asked my stylist if it was human and she said it was.
Apparently she didn't know and was wrong. I essentially had barbie hair sewn in that became a matted, tangled mess two days later.
On my third visit they put in what they said was a "very expensive" synthetic hair. This also became matted, and my braids were so big I always had visible tracks.
I had the hair removed at another salon today and was horrified to find huge bald spots from the braids being too tight, along with sores all over my head. My natural hair is now destroyed, and I've taken to using clip in hair that looks much better than the weave I wasted hundreds of dollars on. The hairstylist told me that my hair looked like it had been done by an amateur.
Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money or ruin your hair at this salon. I regret every penny and hour I spent.
