Before I get into my experience, let me just say that I really want to like this place. The store itself is so... For a lack of a better word... Adorable. They seem to carry only local items, which I respect. The menu above the counter seemed to display lots of yummy looking sandwiches and smoothies, but I did not partake.
The grocery selection seemed a bit scattered. It's not as if you could come into this place and "check off" all your items from your shopping list. In fact, I'm not sure if people would actually grocery shop here. By the looks of the wilting produce, I'd say that most folks head down the street to the west side market for wares.
To put it into perspective, on a Saturday morning, I stopped in to pick up a cup of joe. There were two parties ahead of me in line. There was one guy working behind the counter. After twenty minutes of waiting, I decided I should probably cut my losses.
Im sure this place probably has a breakfast/lunch crowd, so why not have two people working? It really shouldn't take twenty minutes to order a coffee.
