Being a Monta ramen maven, I had to check out the newest offering from what's a supposedly related ramen stop.
The place is newer and more modern looking than what I'm used to at Monta and there was even a noodle flattening and cutting machine in operation. Kinda cool! Like a field eating trip all in one!
In taking to the waiter, the place is a totally different ramen style than Monta. Not sure why he was emphasizing it is so different but it was tasty. Had the "standard" and "mild" tonkotsu pork broth. Really rich flavor but there is a difference between the standard and "mild-medium-hot-fiery". For one, the taste is not just spicier but the flavor is different too. Also the broth is a red color not the dark eggshell color.
I liked them both and the fried rice is the same goodness. Kind of a lot of starch for one sitting but hard to pick which bite to take next!
The other thing that was pretty cool was their electronic menu at the front counter. Cool gadget and would be cooler if you could place your orders that way too. Mostly locals here and prices were reasonable.
And lastly, in the dead heat of summer, this place dies have waiting room seats for six and ample room for another four comfortably near the noodle factory room window area :)
It's worth checking out for something new and different!
