We went to Courtesy a few times with not great experiences but tried again for Black Friday because it was heavily advertised as having amazing deals. We did our research and talked to salesmen in the week prior and they said they would be motivated to make deals with us because they wanted to sell lots of cars on Black Friday. We did not find that to be the case. They also heavily advertised a "buy one car, get one car for $1" deal which was obscenely transparent, and a horrible deal. The car we wanted was listed as $10,500 online sale price. So then once we were interested in the $1 car, it went up to $14,500. We were like "so it's not a $1 car, it's a $4,000 car" which they told us on the phone the $1 cars are like 10 years old so that is probably how much they are worth anyway! So we said "well we may be interested in just buying the car, forget the $1 car" and the fees brought it up to $14,000. We asked if they would negotiate at all since it was their Black Friday sale and if they would drop below $10,500 (which the car had been listed at for several weeks.) But they said no and basically told us to leave because we were taking up their time. This was not a sale but a marketing gimmick! So much for waking up at 5am.
