  • If this hotel was a guy, I would want to wear its sweater. I love the way it smells and is completely distinguishable from the rest of Mandalay Bay. I was a fan of the feel and decor of the lobby and rooms. Each morning, upon coming down from the elevators, I looked forward to seeing the new quote on the mirror, and I even sent a few to friends when they seemed fitting. Everything about this hotel is convenient. The front desk is close to the elevators, which is next to the cafe and other snack eateries, and the front doors are right next to the self parking. You don't have to do a lot of walking to get in and out, which (to me) is a big plus. My only complaint is that the pool wasn't finished and we had to walk to MB's facilities, but that should get rectified soon enough. On that note, my mom and I spent an entire day at the pool, body surfing in the wave pool and circling in the lazy river. It was very fun and relaxing. The thing that made our stay significantly memorable was the service we received. Aleksandr Vargas was a doll. He checked us in quickly, gave us recommendations for food and entertainment, and catered to every need we could possible have. All of our questions and concerns were answered and attended to promptly and with such cheer and friendliness. His demeanor demonstrates a level of care and attention that is oftentimes sorely lacking at other establishments. Because of the tremendous service we received from Mr. Vargas, my mother and I are now great fans of both The Delano and Mandalay Bay. This was our first visit to both hotels, and we will most definitely be back. Moreover, due to his impeccable attitude and hospitality, and our subsequent glowing opinion of the property, I have recommended the hotel to all of my friends. I even converted one of my friends upon our return with my review, and he stayed there within two weeks of our departure. With staff like this, there's no way that any guest will feel any less than a first and foremost priority, which is essential in such a business.
