  • I love this salon. Emily is the best. I have been seeing her for about 9 months and it has always been a great experience. She is super talented and totally great to chat with. Everyone there is super considerate and sweet offering up coffee, tea, water etc. I checked this place out last year because I had just relocated to Toronto and had been getting highlights in New York for a couple years bringing my dark hair to full on blonde trying to minimize damage. Though I loved my hair colorist there it obviously was not feasible to travel just for highlights. I had been to a couple trendy salons in the city for my hair and always came out with an orangey base color or overly toned ashy blonde. It was always some kind of rookie mistake that colorists do when they are lightening hair. Not the case here!! Everyone is a pro. I met with Emily for a consultation first (not on the same day as my appointment) and she was super thorough and thoughtful asking me questions about what I wanted my hair to look like in a way a stylist never has before. They obviously really care about the health of your hair, managing your expectations and helping you understand what you really like about your locks or what you don't. It was enlightening! Emily is also great at cuts. 2014 is the year I have re-introduced bangs with her guidance. If you want expertly lightened hair check 'em out! Oh, they also have great products (Kerastase and Kevin Murphy are ones I've bought) and usually offer up samples so you can try before you buy.
