We had a pretty smooth arrival and departure experience at Calgary airport. So I'm giving 4-stars!
ARRIVALS
* It was fairly straightforward and smooth to go through customs. Baggage claim right outside and was pretty quick for our bags.
* Rental car facility an easy walk across the street, so no need to wait for a shuttle.
DEPARTURES
* For flights returning to the USA, you go through Concourse B which has its own USA Customs clearance and security line. That means once you clear customs in YYC, you return to the Domestic terminal of SFO if flying United.
*Plenty of kiosks to get your boarding pass. Even though they say Westjet, you can pick your airline.
*Plenty of seating and charging outlets at the gate, plus free Wi-Fi!
*Only constraint for US flights at Concourse B is that you can only enter 2-hrs prior to departure.
As for food options, Concourse B has limited options - a Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and a Burger King that also serves up Poutines (fries with gravy and cheese) as an option. If you want more options, you can hang out at the other Concourses before going through security.
