Well I remember the 'old' Rawhide in North Scottsdale and apparently, the good reviews are from people who have nothing to compare it to. I Went to this one for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was not impressed. Not sure if I missed something, never saw the mule and you would think there would be more employees in character walking around for the kids, we didnt see anything but vendors and some bored visitors walking around. Seems vendors selling stuff is the big attraction and there seems to be very little for kids to do. There was a small shooting gallery and no coin dispensers anywhere so we had to go to one of the stores and ask for change so the kids could shoot. Seems the shooting gallery needed to be re-calibrated and some more needs to be invested in some of the activities like that. Candy store didn't seem to have much, and the gun shows cost extra and those were minimally entertaining. Would be nice if more artifacts were on exhibit also. Sorry to be a buzzkill but when someone told me that this 'new' Rawhide was a disappointment I know exactly what they meant.
