  • I have come to this class 6 times in the past month. It is part of ClassPass, so I was able to try it out. I want to preface my review with this: the workout you get is great and will kick your butt. Their slogan "Your workout is my warmup" is completely accurate. Want to sweat and work hard? This is the place for you. With that being said, a few things that I didn't appreciate. 1) No water fountain/water bottle fill up. If you wanted a drink, go put your head under the sink in the bathroom... and good luck getting back to the main room by the time the instructor starts the next set of instructions or moves... 2) The instructors (some more than others) are ridiculously intense... I am all for someone who wants to push you to work harder and make you better, but these guys take it to a new level. For my first time there, I was just trying to do what the people around me were doing as the instruction they give you is very quick... We had to do a ton of reps of pushups and by the end, (noting that this was my 4th boot camp that week), I was pretty tired. I am not usually a 'knee pushup' person, but the girl next to me was on her knees so I went down to mine too. The instructor stopped everyone walked in front of me and said, do you have a modification? You aren't allowed to be on your knees without me telling you to... come on... was that completely necessary to stop everyone and call me out? That happened on a couple other things as well... They also have rules that you wouldn't know about unless you were I guess there from day 1. A couple being: don't lean on things, don't drop weights/equipment when you get done, wipe your feet even if there is nothing on them... etc. If someone breaks these rules, even without knowing about them, the instructor will make the entire class stop and run sprints. I would think that if you are going to punish a group of people for something, maybe tell them the rules before you start... All in all, a darn good workout, but when it comes to the instructors, just be prepared to have a super thick skin!
