  • Been going here for over 20 years now (that makes me feel old). But Henry had been running this place for over 50 years - so I guess it's all relative. But this great little real barber shop in the Upper Avenue Rd area is now run by Bill. He carries on the tradition of friendly service and a barber shop feel - and inexpensive barber shop prices. They are the only place in the city (to my knowledge) that actually still offers a traditional barber shop shave! Where the chair folds back like a lazy-boy and they wrap your face and shave you. I haven't had one myself, but witnessed other guys getting a shave many times. Anyways, I highly recommend it.
