A few years ago, Axis was THE place to be on Thursday-Saturday nights. Everyone went and they really didn't have much surrounding competition from any other clubs except Sanctuary (now Myst).
But then Suede popped up. And Pussycat and the decline of Axis began.
As often as I'm in old town, I never set foot into Axis. I just don't think it's fun anymore. They're always playing techno and house music on the lower level and that stuff is just so 2000 to me.
It still gets pretty packed, but it's filled with the typical Scottsdale tools with their overly spikey hair and spray on-tans and the girls all look the same. Not to say this isn't the case at some of the surrounding clubs, but Axis-Radius seems to be their breeding ground.
My advice: skip it.
