  • Terrible experience. Lease agents are not informative, inattentive and not solution oriented. Me and my friend rent our first apartment in Las Vegas in Sahara West. We didn't know how the system works here and we asked them to inform us about all details. Apparently they explained everything but not the one which cost us an extra rent for an apartment that we will not stay! They could have inform us that we have to tell them 'we don't want to extend our agreement'. When we were renting the apartment we told them several times that we are here for only 5 months and we will not extend the lease. At the end they saw us in the office by coincidence and gave us the notice and told us we have to pay one extra month even we don't stay! We explained them that we were not informed. Than the manager, I believe her name was Jamie, she came us with these arguments: 1) We put the door hangers usually maybe they fly away (we never see any door hanger) 2) Maybe your lease agent called you (another maybe again... we didn't receive any call) 3) We tried to reach you ( Excuse me?? You have our numbers and e mails. You sent us tons of e mails for advertisements and not the notice??) 4) We sent you letter (She says she has a proof but we didn't see any letter). At the end she gave us the look that 'poor, stupid immigrants don't know the system. She asked us several questions as how long we live in US with pity. We were not the 'poor and stupid immigrants' when we were paying our rent on time during 5 months. She humiliated us. Why they didn't reach us when we didn't show up to extend the rent or sign the notice.. who knows.
