I waited 2 months for this reservation and paid almost $200 for dinner and was so disappointed. Vegas is all about the show and glamor. Eating at the dining room felt like eating in a closet. The location is terrible. It took us 30 minutes to walk and find the location. We passed by all the great restaurants in Venetian to go into a separate building, up an elevator to the 10th floor, pass through empty hallways/hotel rooms/empty registration desks, to find a restaurant at the end of hotel rooms. It was like a closet inside of a room. I don't get it?! No views, no crowds, nothing to look at. It was so dark that we had to use our cell phones to see the menu.
The wine list was expensive and not to my liking. The French Onion Soup was so salty that I could not drink the broth. I just ate the cheese on top and gave up on the rest. Luke warm salty mush is not to the level of Thomas Keller. Chefs at the restaurant need to TASTE their food! Foie Gras was good. Steak and Frits was good but not worth the $52 price. The $37 Flat Iron Steak looked better than the $52 one. Scallops were expensive for the portion. $36 for 2 scallops? No thanks.
I don't mind paying a high price for high quality chef and restaurant, but this place was like a hole forgotten by Keller. I bet people just paid to use his name and he never goes there. Yelpers disappointed me! I trusted their reviews and could have gone to 100 better places in Vegas. If you are thinking about going to a fancy restaurant in Vegas as a treat...skip this one.
