I went to the Hard Rock rocksino last night for the first time. I really liked the way the building looked. Beautiful both outside and in. The inside had beautiful decor and gave you that casino feeling. We played some video latter terminals and had a good time. I loved the music they played and heard a lot of old favorites that I hadn't heard in years.
We ate at the Fresh Harvest Buffet. The dining area was clean, the chairs were comfortable and the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food, however, was anything but fresh. It became apparent that the food was mostly frozen, pre-made food that had just been heated up. They do have local favorite, such as the lasagna that was obviously purchased from Stouffer's...I would know that lasagna anywhere. The piece of pie we selected for dessert was still frozen solid.
I, personally, prefer the Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland since I like to play video poker and table games that are not available at the rocksino. I am not saying I would never go back to the rocksino, but it definitely will not be to play the machines or eat at the buffet. Maybe next time we will try one if the other restaurants there or a music venue.
